PEACE

These times are full of chaos and sorrow.
Let there be Peace in your mind and in your heart.
May it be so.

Here at Upon These Boards we are keenly aware
that in a heightened state of war, the world is rattled
internationally, nationally, personally, and ecologically.
We are certain that Artisans and Creatives understand, in our very bones,
that the Art of Storytelling is as strong a force of Peace as any.

We encourage you to think about what you can do for your own Peace today
...and then emboldened with courage, forging forward
to reflect that renewed alliance back to others who share the same longing.
It's not a struggle...rather it's the stroke of the paint brush,
the strum on the instrument, the feel of the clay, the glimmer of the wet ink.

We've been here before, dear friends, advocating for Peace in the last mid-century
and now we're not so far away from this century's mid-mark.
Time galloped ahead and we forgot where we were, for better or worse.
Well, it's time to remember again.
Let's say "Oh, Yes, please." to that which is peaceful,
and "Heavens, No - that will be quite enough of that."
to that which is inherently unkind.
